From Gujranwala to Yale

Omar Ali Khan from International School Lahore has been accepted at Yale University with over 100% scholarship!
Omar has always been the office’s mediating energy, whether it be calming everyone else down or giving you a much-needed reality check. Whenever times have been testing during the grueling application process, his positive energy, (blunt) words of encouragement and Miley Cyrus obsession have injected the room with his unique aura. You’d also be surprised to see his trademark RBF.
When he’s not circling around one of our counselors, you can find Omar knee-deep within a biology lab, working to conduct research on Covid 19 strains. Expressing his commitment to education as a mechanism for change, Omar has worked with Aleph Review to initiate libraries in underprivileged areas across the city. As the most confident and friendly introvert we know, we are sure that Omar’s bubbly self will allow him to build his home away from home behind the rustic walls of Yale (where he can happily live out his Gilmore Girls dream).
What truly set’s Omar apart is his unwavering tenacity, the endless late-night hours of hard work he puts in and, of course, his warm spirit of inquiry that we know will take him to the stars.
Congratulations Omar, we couldn’t be more proud of you!
