College Admissions Counselling

Students are eligible to sign up for our two-year College Admissions intensive at any point after their O’levels (for students in the Cambridge system), after sophomore year (for students in the American system) and after MYP (for students taking the IB.) Our engagement begins with multiple in-depth, one-on-one meetings to ascertain what makes a student’s brain ‘tick.’ Thereafter, Dream 3 develops an individually tailored program for each student that will guide them through the entire admissions process, creating growth in their academic and extra-curricular profile at every step.

Our end goal is to not only ensure that every student garners admission into one of their Dream 3 schools, but also that the entire process nurtures valuable intellectual and interpersonal development that will continue to affect students’ progress way beyond their advent into college.

Admissions counselors at Dream 3 work with students to:

Recommend coursework plans and extracurricular activities that cater to a student’s interests while simultaneously covering critical ground to make him/her a competitive applicant.
Create comprehensive summer plans that develop a student’s intellectual and physical capacities by targeting activities that would further cultivate their current strengths and overcome weaknesses
Brainstorm ideas and use them to build comprehensive narratives for essays and supplements, continuously staying involved and providing feedback at every step/ draft. Revise and edit the personal statement and supplement essays when necessary.
Facilitate and improve relationships with teachers to help shortlist and ultimately select teachers for letters of recommendation.
Offer strategies on how to tackle waitlist and deferral decisions, including advise on how to draft letters of continued interest
Advise on testing strategies and formulate schedules to ensure student is on course for effective performance
Research colleges and develop a balanced list of schools based on a student’s credentials, needs and desires.
Keep students on task to effectively complete all components of the college application with enough time left for a holistic review.
Conduct targeted preparation for interview cycles including guidance on how to tackle critical thinking tests.
Evaluate offers of admission and help students choose the college that would be ideal for their intellectual growth
