My journey with Dream 3 was truly transformational. I started at the beginning of A1 with very little clarity. My application lacked direction and although I had a few extracurricular activities, they weren’t aligned with any clear academic path.
Dream 3 helped me identify the direction I wanted to pursue and guided me in building a cohesive profile. From suggesting relevant activities to helping me develop meaningful honours, everything was structured to align with my interest in biology. This clarity and strategic guidance made a significant difference in how I approached my application.
One of the most critical aspects of applying to Oxford is the interview process. While many applicants reach the interview stage, it is performance in the interview that truly sets candidates apart. Dream 3 played a key role in preparing me for this by connecting me with international mentors and providing access to specialized courses not just in biology, but specifically tailored to Oxford-style interviews. This helped me understand the nuances of the process and build the confidence to articulate my thoughts effectively.
For a biology-focused application, strong research experience is essential. Dream 3 supported me in developing my research and went a step further by helping me get it published in a well-recognized international journal. This was a major highlight of my application. Overall, Dream 3 provided the clarity, mentorship and opportunities I needed to transform my profile into a focused and competitive application.
My journey with Dream 3 began at the start of A1, and at that point, I hadn’t really planned on applying to Oxford. However, as deadlines approached and I began working on my UCAS application, Oxford became one of the universities on my list. Even then, I didn’t have particularly high expectations for myself.
One of the most valuable ways Dream 3 supported me was by helping me refine my personal statement. They worked closely with me to narrow down exactly what I wanted to express and present my interests in a clear and compelling way.
Additionally, Dream 3 connected me with international mentors, including students at Oxford who specialized in History and Economics. They conducted mock interviews and guided me through the preparation process, which played a crucial role in building my confidence and readiness.
I am hopeful to be joining St. Anne’s College this fall, provided I meet my conditions. I’m truly excited about the opportunity to pursue my passion for History and Economics at Oxford.
I’ve received an offer from Oxford to study History at St Catherine’s College. Achieving this had always been a dream of mine, and from the very beginning, Oxford was the goal I shared.
Dream 3 played a significant role throughout the entire process. They supported me extensively with my personal statement, interview preparation, and overall application strategy. While working on my personal statement, I was able to thoroughly discuss and refine my ideas with my writing counsellor. Together, we shaped a compelling academic narrative that presented my interest in History in a way that was both engaging and intellectually strong which was exactly what universities like Oxford look for.
This strong personal statement helped me secure an interview, and Dream 3 continued to support me at that stage by connecting me with international mentors. These mentors guided me through mock interviews and helped me better understand the interview format, which significantly improved my performance.
Overall, Dream 3’s guidance was a key contributing factor in helping me achieve my offer from Oxford.
It’s been a tough 2 years, figuring out Amaan’s profile, executing it, the ups and downs but thank God, it all worked out! We are supremely grateful for your hard work, untiring focus on quality and devotion to bringing out the best of Amaan (let’s not forget the therapy sessions for the mom!).
